A Savvy Craft: Shamrock Hair Bows

I saw this St. Patrick's Day craft and wanted to share with you!  It's so cute and inexpensive to make!

What you will need:
  • 1/8 yard green satin
  • Gem or button for center
  • Clip or pin backing
  • Candle and lighter
  • Hot glue gun
  • Needle and thread
  • Pen
  • Few inches of ribbon
Step 1:
Print the provided template on cardstock.

Step 2:
Trace the pattern pieces onto the satin fabric. Cut out the shamrock pieces. Snip a short slit into the leaves of each piece to make it look like a shamrock.

Step 3:
Carefully hold the edges of the shamrock pieces next a flame - carefully singe the edges taking care not to light the fabric on fire or burn yourself.

Step 4:
Nest the shamrocks one on top of the other and sew a few stitches into the center of your shamrock or apply glue to hold pieces in place.

Step 5:
Glue a jewel or button into the center of the shamrock.

Step 6:
Glue a clip to the back of your shamrock.

Sooo cute and easy!  Check out Momclick for more tips and patterns to make this great St. Patricks Day hair bow!
