This is what Cheating Looks Like - Walmart Price Match Cheaters

One of 3 carts confiscated by Walmart employees
after Price Match Cheating (Theft!) Can you believe
everything in this cart was under $1?  Check out the HUGE
pack of Allegra.  $0.99?  Wow - that's amazing!
I ran in to my local Walmart last night to prep the Walmart Deals list for next week (Awesome deals are coming!) and was informed that people shopping at local Walmarts and lying about their price matching prices is still  a HUGE problem.  Shoppers are bringing 2 and 3 cart loads of product to the checkout lane and then trying to literally price match every thing for under $1.  Not only are they lying about price matches but they are altering our lists to try and reflect these prices and then saying that "Amy said that was the price".  Fortunately, many checkers are now referring to the actual ads that are kept in store to verify prices and these cheaters are getting caught!

Come on people.  Grow some integrity and don't drag my name in to this when you know you're being dishonest.  FYI to all the cheaters - they're catching on to you and soon enough you'll be caught

  1. Thanks for ruining this for us all! Integrity sums the whole thing up

  2. It drives me nuts when I see that! And it really bothers me when other couponing blogs try to TELL you to price match something that you shouldn't price match. Walmart DOESN'T price match Walgreens' after-Register-Rewards price! Stop trying to get free money from Walmart!

  3. i think that they should make you show the ads; I take mine anyways that way you can't cheat, it is very sad that people are doing this!

  4. I usually have my ads with me too. It is aggravating that people abuse this system because soon one day Walmart will take away their price matching....

  5. Thank you for posting this. I honestly gave up on the whole double coupon Tuesday. Monday nights at the Utah county Walmarts are insane, and so many people are so dishonest. It breaks my heart that people will trade integrity to save money. It's stealing. It's sad. It's pathetic. Just my opinion.

  6. Horrible that shoppers are stealing from Walmart and taking advantage of their very generous price matching policy! I think they should put up a sign saying price match liars will be prosecuted! One kind checker last week lowered the price of my fresh pineapple because she was already aware of a lower price elsewhere that I didn't know about! Shame, shame on those cheaters!

  7. This just makes me sad. It is a sad day when someone chooses to give up their integrity just to get a good deal. I always take the ad that I am price matching out of, because it makes me feel good to know, that if I'm questioned, I can show them that I am being honest. Amy, your name will never be drug through the mud when I am coupon shopping. I appreciate all you do. Your hard work helps my family make it through our tight budget. I really appreciate you.

  8. Man Amy, I am so disappointed that people will resort to this kind of behavior. I will make sure I have my ads when I price match, just so I can be sure of the price that I deserve. Thank you for making "couponing" so easy for the rest of us (too easy??) J/K!! I too, appreciate what you do to make life happy and comfortable for us. THANK YOU:)

  10. Isn't Walmart using Utah County as a test site for double coupons? If that's the case, then these people are potentially ruining the idea of having it spread to other areas (like for me here in No. Utah)! It bums me out to see people be so dishonest. Times may be tough, but NOTHING is as tough as having a guilty conscience.
